Music is around us every day. The most important, memorable and defining moments of our lives are often linked to music, like a soundtrack playing wherever we go, and whatever we do. It’s there when we laugh, when we cry and when we fall in love. To be able to be a part of someone’s life soundtrack is an absolute honour and truthfully, the biggest buzz ever! Our band is like a family, playing music together is what we love to do and sharing that with you makes it the best job in the world! Here is a little bit about our family...
HOW MANY IN THE BAND?
There are 7 of us in The Soul Monkeys. Our instruments are:
Drums, bass guitar, keyboard, guitar, saxophone and two vocalists.
Our set up includes a 4K PA and lighting. Large or small, we can fill any venue with fantastic sound!
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
Motown, soul, disco....infact; anything that is soulful or funky and makes you want to sing along and get up on the dance floor!
We play songs from across the decades, but always tunes people know and love. Nothing makes us happier than a buzzing dance floor and the sound of people singing at the tops of their lungs!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING?
Most of us started learning our instruments at a tender young age; and if we added up our combined years of playing experience it would total well in excess of 200 years! We've all worked professionally in the music or theatre industry for decades too; so you can relax knowing that your special event is safe in the hands of professionally trained musicians and performers.
The band formed in 2004 and since then we have played for hundreds of weddings, parties and functions up and down the country. We love our job and still get excited at every performance!
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
South East England. East Kent to be precise. However we do love a road trip!
